Other than this ring not having a stone, it's a beautiful piece. I obtained it at an estate sale and the seller stated that it is at least from the 1930s, so I'm going by what she said. It could either be used as scrap, or add a beautiful new stone and restore it to its glamour.
Inside the shank there is some writing, but even with a loop it's too faded to see what it says. Using a jeweler's scale, the weight is 2.4 grams. I am using a template to determine the size. I am fairly confident that this is a size 6 1/2, but cannot be 100% sure.
I have a "Golden Touch Electronic Gold Tester" that designated between gold and gold plating. This ring tested as gold and as 18K.
